Gingivitis: Gum is a mucus membrane with assisting connective muscle covering the tooth bearing borders of the jaw .The principle work of gum is protection .Gingivitis is the irritation of the gum .Due to a variety of causes gum tissue get inflammed creating irritation,pain and discharge. If the affliction turn into worse the infection spread towards peridontal area resulting in prolonged discharge recognized as pyorrhoea. Some times the condition goes excellent generating alveolar abscess with discharge of pus. Illness could also reach the bone producing osteomyelitis.All of these situations could develop offenssive odor. Gum retraction: Each time the gums retract from the teeth a gap is established that could lodge food particles and bring about terrible breath. Dental plaques and tartar debris; Plaques and tartar is placed mostly within the spaces between the teeth and gum. These lesions could quite well be a result of germs,infections,food allergies or attributable to autoimmune problems. Apthous ulcer is the commonest amoung ulcerative lesions. Others are commonly herpes,fungal infections,vincents angina,infectious mononucleosis,scarlet fever,diphtheria,drug reactions and ect. Cancerous ulcers generate main dental malodor. All fungal infections develop white coating(candidiasis). Leucoplakia is a white dense patch on the mucus membrane of the oral cavity & tongue. It is understood as a precancerous condition. Offenssive breath is connected with these problems.
