The term is basically derived from the words mononucleosis which is short is noted as mono. And to most people it is famous for the term kissing disease mono due to its characteristics of spreading the virus. It is a very common disease and most people in the population chart are subjected to this virus every now and then. Young children are more subjected to this virus, mostly around and within the region of developing country.
The virus is used as the term of kissing disease mono due to its way to spread from one person to another. This virus can spread through the exchange of saliva, so it is very easy to get a hold of the disease from kissing a person of the opposite sex or the same in special condition. This virus can also spread very easily when some near has the virus and coughs, or shares a glass or bites a food that you might be having. Or it may be that you are taking a bite of the food he or she might be having.
The symptoms for the mononucleosis disease are well seen and they are quite visible with pain, fever and sore throat mostly. They can cause illness that might put to bed rest for four to five days or even more. The most common signs that you might encounter when you've caught mono are that you might have a headache with loss of appetite. Your throat might react with starting to soar and by increasing the tonsil. Abdominal pain is also accompanied with chills and fever, and might worsen the fact if you are having previous cases of gastric.
There hasn't been any definite cure for the virus for it tends to compromise and disappear with a few days of attacking. It is best for the person to avoid physical sports that might worsen the system as they become weak when subjected to the virus. Severe fever and sore throat can be controlled with penicillin and controlling the diet of the patient. It is best to contact a doctor if the fever turns to get worse further more. When attacked by kissing disease mono it is best that the eating materials and things that are used to serve the patient be isolated. The patient is better to kept isolate as cough and sneezes can cause the virus to spread. And mostly keep the patient clear all the time so that the virus doesn't tend to grow.
